The ADAC Truck Grand Prix, scheduled for July 17 and 18, 2021, at the Nürburgring, has been canceled. The supporting program was to include two IDM Superbike 1000 championship races.

Heavy rains and severe storms have caused flooding in many areas. A state of emergency has been declared in the district of Ahrweiler, which is home to the Nürburgring. In the town of Schuld, six houses have collapsed, and others are in danger of collapsing. There are many fatalities and missing persons in the region.

“The cancellation of the race weekend is entirely justified,” says IDM Series Manager Normann Broy. “All emergency services in the region are on the scene, and during these difficult hours, our thoughts are with the victims, and we extend our deepest sympathies to them. In a situation like this, racing takes a back seat.”
