A familiar face is returning to the paddock. Lucy Michel will be competing this weekend at the Nürburgring as a guest rider in the EURO MOTO Sportbike series. She’ll once again be racing for the TSL Racing Team. “I’m really looking forward to the challenge and am excited to see what the race weekend has in store for me. Now it’s time to put the pedal to the metal, have fun, and enjoy every lap,” says Michel, excited about her guest appearance.
This environment isn’t entirely new to the Saxon rider. Many in the paddock still remember Michel from her time in the IDM Supersport 300. She gained her first experience there as early as 2020, followed by her first full season in 2021. After a break, she returned in 2023 and raced for TSL Racing at that time as well. Michel then moved on to the international stage. In 2024, she switched to the newly created FIM Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship, where she took on international competition on the Yamaha R7.
The WorldWCR is now in its third season. However, there is still some time until the next race, as the Women’s World Championship won’t resume until October 16–18 at the season finale in Jerez, Spain.
Michel is using the break to make a detour to the EURO MOTO and is taking on a new challenge in the Sportbike class at the Nürburgring.
