The journey continues, but there’s a change of scenery. Wiljan van Wikselaar is returning to the International German Motorcycle Championship (IDM). The 2023 Dutch Supersport will Supersport in the IDM Supersport class next year. He was already there in 2022, finishing 15th overall, back then on a Yamaha. Now the 27-year-old is returning on a Ducati Panigale V2.
“We have the right people behind us and strong ties to Ducati,” says the Wixx Racing Team. The bike is completely new to both the rider and the team. That’s why there will be winter testing. “I’m really looking forward to the start of the season. The bigger the challenge, the more motivated I am,” said the V2 rider ahead of his IDM comeback, “the plan is to put in a lot of miles this winter so I’m in the best possible shape for the season opener.”
