Inigo Iglesias secured pole position at Hockenheim following qualifying in the IDM Supersport . Behind him, Walid Khan and Dustin Schneider will start from second and third on the grid. Both are still in contention for the runner-up title this weekend.
The final pole position of the year in the IDM Supersport class has been secured: Inigo Iglesias (Füsport – RT Motorsports by SKM – Kawasaki), who has already clinched the IDM title, will start the races from pole position.
Although these were the Spaniard’s first laps at the Hockenheimring, he made it clear during free practice that the track suits him well. “The track suits my riding style well because it’s smooth to ride,” said the Spaniard after the second practice session, having already clinched the championship at Assen. With a lap time of 1:37.243 minutes, he set the bar high.
Walid Khan and Dustin Schneider (both of Freudenberg KTM-Paligo Racing) will head into the race from second and third place. The teammates are both vying for the runner-up title in the season finale. Khan is currently second in the championship standings with 163 points, while Dustin Schneider sits in third place with 157 points.
Kawasaki rider Max Zachmann (Füsport – RT Motorsports by SKM – Kawasaki) will start from fourth place on the second row of the grid. The German posted a lap time of 1:38.257 minutes, securing his best starting position of the year. Joining him on the grid are Belgian rider Ferre Fleerackers and Danish rider Oliver Svendsen (both B.art Racing). German rider Phillip Tonn (Freudenberg KTM-Paligo Racing) will start the race from seventh place, followed by Thom Molenaar and Sven Doornenbal (both Molenaar Racing). Dylan Czarkowski (Racing DC) rounds out the top 10.
