Hertrampf Racing is as much a part of the IDM Superbike 1000 series as salt is to soup. Following the withdrawal of its long-time partner Suzuki from the IDM, the team has reoriented itself. The future lies with Yamaha.
At a meeting at Yamaha’s headquarters in Neuss, Marcel Driessen, Country Manager of Yamaha Motor Germany, and Denis Hertrampf, Managing Director of the Hertrampf Group, agreed on a future partnership in the field of motorsports. As a result, the Emsbüren-based team will compete on the Yamaha YZF-R1 in the upcoming IDM racing season.
The two partners have known and respected each other for many years. Top-level motorsports and strong teamwork are in both of their DNA. Details about the team structure and drivers are expected in the coming weeks.
