IDM Supersport 300: Dutch riders sweep the top three spots in the first qualifying session

The provisional pole position will be decided on the final lap. Colin Velthuizen (16, NLD, RT Motorsports by SKM-Kawasaki) set the fastest time in the first qualifying session at the IDM season opener in Assen. However, the Ninja 400 rider from Heerjansdam is only 0.012 seconds ahead of his compatriot Ruben Bijman (16, NLD, Pearle Gebben Racing) on a Yamaha.

Close behind the two fastest riders in practice is another fast Dutch rider, Melvin van der Voort (15, NLD, Team SWPN), on a Yamaha. The fastest German, Marvin Siebdrath (16, Wildenfels, RT-Motorsports by SKM-Kawasaki), is in fourth place. The Saxon is 0.226 seconds behind his teammate Colin Velthuizen. The second qualifying session begins tomorrow (Aug. 15) at 11:30 a.m.
