IDM Superbike 1000: Hüsler Back on Familiar Ground

Florian Hüsler is back. The 34-year-old Swiss rider has joined the Kawasaki Schnock Team Motorex for two races. He’ll be riding his ZX-10R and will receive technical support from his compatriot Roman Raschle , the team’s chief technician. For Hüsler, this comeback in the IDM Superbike 1000 also marks the end of a difficult period. He tore the medial and lateral ligaments in his right foot before the season and has only just recovered. Originally, Hüsler planned to compete in the 2018 Swiss Championship and had already paid his entry fee there, but two-thirds of the series has already been completed. The IDM is now a better option. Hüsler will be on the starting grid at Zolder and Schleiz. Financially, that’s all he can manage for now.
