For a long time, Thomas Gradinger's racing career progressed exactly as one would hope for an up-and-coming talent. After two years of training, the Austrian won the runner-up title in the ADAC Junior Cup in 2011 and then moved up to the IDM 125. In 2015, he switched to the Spanish CEV and an FTR Moto2 bike. With a wealth of experience from the European Championship, he won the title in his first full IDM Supersport season in 2017 and was promoted to the Supersport World Championship. Here, he rode for Team Kallio Yamaha in Assen in 2019, finishing on the podium and becoming Austria's most successful Supersport rider.
