For a long time, Thomas Gradinger’s racing career unfolded exactly as one would hope for an up-and-coming talent. After two years of apprenticeship, the Austrian claimed the runner-up title in the ADAC Junior Cup in 2011 and subsequently moved up to the IDM 125 class. In 2015, he made the switch to the Spanish CEV and began riding an FTR Moto2 bike. Armed with extensive experience from the European Championship, he won the title outright in his first full IDM Supersport in 2017 and earned promotion to the Supersport. Riding for Team Kallio Yamaha, he finished on the podium at Assen in 2019, becoming Austria’s most successful Supersport rider.
