Bad news for the ERC team following the race weekend in Oschersleben. Sasha de Vits and Jules Bercot were retroactively disqualified from the second race of the EURO MOTO Sportbike series. This followed two protests filed against the two Kawasaki riders, which the race commissioners upheld.
According to the official decisions, the reason for the disqualifications is the use of software that does not comply with the technical regulations. This is based on Article 1.7.10b of the DMSB Technical Regulations for the 2026 EURO MOTO Sportbike.
The decision is particularly bitter for Sasha de Vits. The Belgian had finished second on Sunday behind winner Stepan Zuda, celebrating his first podium finish of the season. He has now been stripped of that finish. As a result, Tobias Kitzbichler moves up to second place, and Jakob Rosenthaler takes third.
Jules Bercot has also been disqualified from the second race. However, his third-place finish in Saturday's first race remains unaffected. The disqualification applies exclusively to Sunday's race.
