Full power, fewer CO2 emissions: The EURO MOTO Superbike Team GERT56 is embracing eFuels, paving the way for a more sustainable future in motorsports.
Innovation meets responsibility. Today, GERT56 will present the new Racing eFuel 98 fuel in the EURO MOTO Superbike series during a test day in Brno, Czech Republic, ahead of the official start of the second event on the EURO MOTO calendar here on Friday. Racing eFuel 98 will make its official racing debut during the race weekend in Most, which takes place at the end of June.
From the Superbike World Championship to EURO MOTO
“For us, motorsports and sustainability don’t have to be a contradiction. We are very pleased to have secured eFuel GmbH, one of the leading companies in synthetic fuels, for our project. Thanks to their successes in World Superbike with BMW Motorrad Motorsport, the fuel’s performance has already been proven on the big stage. We are proud to now be able to do the same exclusively in EURO MOTO. At the same time, we are delighted to have the support of our main sponsor, DenkerWulf, for our sustainability campaign,” said the GERT56 team management, which has consisted of Ronny Schlieder, Holger Homfeldt, Toni Finsterbusch, and Johannes Bornemann since the beginning of the year.
“For us, this project is a deliberate step. Not an experiment. Not a symbol. But a demonstration of our commitment to responsibility in a competitive market,” said Torsten Levsen, CEO of DenkerWulf. GERT56’s main sponsor, DenkerWulf, is one of Germany’s leading wind farm developers—the roots of its first projects date back to 1991. With experience from over 945 wind turbines built and an installed capacity of over 2.1 GW, 300 employees at multiple locations develop solutions for onshore wind energy.
