A clear structure and historic venues are the hallmarks of the IDM calendar. Motor Presse Stuttgart, the promoter and organizer of the International German Motorcycle Championship (IDM), has announced the dates for next year’s season finale in 2025. The calendar features seven rounds across three countries—including three internationally renowned MotoGP circuits.
The 2026 season kicks off at the Sachsenring. The season thus begins on the famous Grand Prix circuit in Germany. Just three weeks later, the championship heads to the MotoGP circuit in Brno, Czech Republic. The track is new to the calendar. The fast-flowing track is situated in a scenic location on the edge of a forest, features a noticeable elevation change, and is raced clockwise. The next stop is also located in a neighboring country and has been a fixture on the IDM calendar for several years: the Autodrom Most. Races for the Superbike World Championship are also held here annually.
The four-week summer break in 2026 will be slightly shorter than in previous years and will conclude with the races at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben on the first weekend of August. From there, the tour heads north. In Assen, Netherlands, the IDM will make a guest appearance at the “Cathedral of Speed.” This also confirms the third MotoGP track on the calendar. In September, the championship enters the home stretch. For the third consecutive year, the IDM will be held at the Nürburgring, before the grand season finale takes place, as is tradition, at the Hockenheimring.
“With this schedule, the IDM is aiming for a balanced mix of tradition, international flair, and sporting challenge,” says series manager Normann Broy, adding, “We traditionally announce the dates at the big IDM finale so that teams, riders, and fans can start making their plans well in advance.”
