In Most, Czech Republic, there’s whispering, speculation, and anxiety in the IDM paddock. The topic is this: On June 19, 2025, at 9:15 a.m., the Lingen (Ems) Local Court ruled on the assets of Hertrampf Racing GmbH as part of insolvency proceedings initiated by Denis Hertrampf. The company is represented by its managing director, Denis Hertrampf. What’s going on with this busy businessman from Emsbüren?

First, the good news: The IDM Sportbike project with Oliver Svendsen and Anton Södergren is continuing. The Triumph Germany Racing Team is not affected by the bankruptcy filing. This was a burning question for the two contracted riders. Svendsen leads the championship in his class, while Södergren is in twelfth place and on an upward trend.

No excessive debt

What is behind the filing for insolvency? Hertrampf-Racing GmbH is one of five companies focused on the automotive trade. “Hertrampf-Racing GmbH is not overindebted,” Hertrampf states. “Business operations are continuing, though we are implementing a restructuring plan,” he adds, explaining that the filing for insolvency is the first step toward initiating and implementing a restructuring plan.

Hertrampf is in close contact with the insolvency administrator, Andreas Sontopski, from Wettringen. The insolvency did not come as a surprise; rather, it was planned and necessary after an employee embezzled a significant amount of money. A criminal complaint has been filed against him.

“This year, the motorcycle market has slumped by 40%, and it’s very difficult to generate significant revenue from vehicle sales. As a result, our liquidity was no longer sufficient,” said Hertrampf. “We’ve already begun to realign the company and reduce our inventory.” A complete restructuring is intended to prepare Hertrampf-Racing GmbH for the future.
