With the next rounds of the FIM Sidecar World Championship at the Pannoniaring in Hungary fast approaching, Tim Reeves’ team is facing some last-minute changes: The British rider and his longtime passenger, Mark Wilkes, are parting ways once again effective immediately and will no longer be racing together for the remainder of the season.

Reeves and Wilkes celebrated a world championship title and a podium finish at the legendary Isle of Man TT together back in 2019. After a brief separation, they reunited in 2023—but now their paths are parting ways once again. “We had many great moments—the 2019 world championship title and the TT podium finish are among the highlights,” said Reeves. “I thank Mark and his family for the years we spent together, both on and off the track.”

Kevin Kölsch will be taking the wheel for the upcoming race weekend. The German driver previously raced alongside Reeves at the Oschersleben event in 2024—delivering a strong performance. Reeves is confident: “We had a good run together. I’m sure we can put in a strong performance as a team. Now our full focus is on the race.”

In recent years, Kölsch has been racing alongside Dutch driver Bennie Streuer. However, since Streuer unexpectedly withdrew from the World Championship at the season opener in Le Mans, Kölsch has been without a permanent seat—until now.

FIM Sidecar: Tim Reeves lines up in Hungary with a new sidecar partner

Ahead of the upcoming FIM Sidecar World Championship rounds at the Pannónia-Ring and Most, there has been a change in Tim Reeves’ team. The British rider and his longtime passenger, Mark Wilkes, have once again decided to part ways and will not continue together for the remainder of the 2025 season.

Reeves and Wilkes celebrated great success together, including the 2019 World Championship title and a podium finish at the iconic Isle of Man TT. After a period apart, the duo reunited in 2023—but are now going their separate ways once again.
“We shared many fantastic moments—winning the World Championship in 2019 and standing on the TT podium were definitely among the highlights,” said Reeves. “I want to thank Mark and his family for the years we had together, both on and off the track.”

Stepping in for the upcoming race weekend is Kevin Kölsch. The German teamed up with Reeves last year at Oschersleben and put in a strong performance. Reeves is optimistic: “We had a solid outing together, and I’m confident we can perform well as a team. Now it’s time to focus fully on the race.”

Kölsch had spent the past few seasons riding alongside Dutchman Bennie Streuer. However, after Streuer’s unexpected withdrawal from the World Championship at the season opener in Le Mans, Kölsch has been without a regular ride—until now.
