A great honor for superbikers Florian Alt (HRP-Honda) and Toni Finsterbusch (GERT56, BMW) at the season opener of the International German Motorcycle Championship (IDM). They have reached a milestone at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. As of today, they are immortalized on golden plaques on the “Walk of Fame” in the entrance area of the hotel next to the track.

The “Walk of Fame” is dedicated to honoring motorsports personalities. The golden stars of Florian Alt and Toni Finsterbusch are in excellent company, alongside Stefan Bradl, Ralph Bohnhorst, Jonas Folger, Jörg Teuchert, Max Deubel, Egbert and Bennie Streuer, Olaf Manthey, and René Rast, among others.

Florian Alt was honored for the following achievements: 2012 IDM 125 champion and Red Bull Rookies Cup winner, 2017 World Endurance Championship winner, 2023 IDM Superbike champion, and 2024 IDM Superbike runner-up. Toni Finsterbusch was selected for his runner-up finish in the IDM 125 in 2020 and his victory at Le Mans in the 2020 World Endurance Championship.

Both drivers are now not only featured on the golden stone, but have also received a VIP card granting them lifetime free admission to all events at the Motorsport Arena. “This all came as a complete surprise to me,” said Finsterbusch, taken aback and moved. “Not many people can say they have their own stone as a tribute.” Alt praised the golden monument as a special gesture. “I think it’s wonderful that something like this is being done in Oschersleben and that German drivers are being honored as well. Other tracks could take a page from this book.”
