For the first time in the history of the International German Motorcycle Championship (IDM), an event will have a title sponsor from September 5 to 7, 2025. The races in the Eifel region will be officially held under the name “Öhlins IDM Round at the Nürburgring.”

Öhlins is using Germany’s premier motorcycle road racing series to once again engage directly with end users and fans. As the title sponsor at the Nürburgring, the company is guaranteed an emotional brand association that traces its roots back to its iconic gold forks. As always, suspension specialist Öhlins provides suspension support to the racing teams at all events.

But at the foot of the Nürburg, a major event is set to take place on the first weekend of September. The Swedish manufacturer, whose German headquarters are just a stone’s throw from the legendary race track, will be showcasing its complete range of suspension systems in the paddock—from supersport motorcycles all the way to adventure bikes.

For IDM series manager Normann Broy, this is a positive development. “We’re pleased that we were able to get Öhlins on board as the title sponsor for this project. It’s a great thing, and in the end, everyone benefits. Maybe this will even mark the beginning of a new era.”
