Three riders in the Sportbike class and one in the IDM Supersport. This gives the Triumph Germany Racing Team a strong presence in the International German Motorcycle Championship. Rob Vennegoor will take over as manager on January 1, 2025. They know each other well.
Oliver Svendsen, Fabio Sarasino, and Anton Södergren will ride Triumphs in the new IDM Sportbike class in 2025. Iñigo Iglesias is the star rider in the IDM Supersport. Team manager Rob Vennegoor is expected to pull the strings behind the scenes. The Dutchman is well known. In 2023, while with the then-Füsport-RT Motorsports by SKM-Kawasaki team, he led Spaniard Iñigo Iglesias to the IDM Supersport 300 title. He subsequently led his own team in the junior class of the World Championship.
“Rob and I are kindred spirits in motorsports,” explains team principal Denis Hertrampf, adding, “He always gives 100 percent and is reliable. We met in early December, and I outlined our future plans in the sport to him. Rob will handle all operational matters at the racetrack and the necessary logistics between races.” The agreement is designed for the long term. “The plan for 2026 is to have a team in the sportbike class in the IDM and also as part of the Superbike World Championship. Our goal is to establish a training program for young riders together with Triumph,” adds Technical Director Lothar Kraus, revealing another fact: “Denis and Rob Vennegoor have known each other for more than 20 years. They live only 30 minutes apart.”
Vennegoor jumps right in. “As early as next year, we’ll be expanding and training our team of mechanics so we’re in top shape for 2026. Anyone who wants to advance their career as a race mechanic, is a team player, and is willing to travel is welcome to send me their application!”
