Lennox Lehmann from Dresden, currently sixth in the IDM standings, is moving Supersport Team Yamalube Kofler Motorsport to the Dutch team Apreco after his debut season in the IDM Supersport class. He will be taking over for Twan Smits, who is moving up to the IDM Superbike class. The two are now teammates—and both are “a little crazy.”
The goal is clearly defined: Lennox Lehmann is to focus entirely on winning the Supersport in 2025. The Saxon just turned 19 in November, but already has a long-term contract in his pocket. “Over the past few months, I’ve talked a lot with marketing manager Wim Vermeulen and Sandro Cortese. Lehmann will compete on the R6 in 2025 and then become the first rider to switch to the new R9 in 2026. He is scheduled to complete a test program with the R9 as early as 2025.
