The top three finishers in the IDM Supersport race were all decked out in bright KTM orange. The Freudenberg team riders ultimately battled it out among themselves for the win. Oliver Svendsen emerged as the winner.

In the first race of the IDM Supersport , Denmark’s Oliver Svendsen (Freudenberg KTM-Paligo Racing) showed he had the right instinct for the decisive moment. With a last-minute pass in the penultimate turn just before the finish line, he snatched the lead from his teammate Jeffrey Buis and secured his first victory in the International German Motorcycle Championship (IDM). Visibly relieved and happy, the 20-year-old said afterward: “I was finally able to show what I’m capable of and that I can keep up with the World Championship riders.” After three difficult years, Svendsen hopes that this first victory will mark the start of a successful season and open doors for him to the World Championship.

Ruben Bijman (Freudenberg KTM-Paligo Racing) capitalized on Svendsen’s move and also overtook Buis. He secured the second KTM podium finish. A photo finish between guest rider Loris Veneman (MTM Kawasaki) and Jeffrey Buis ultimately decided third place. Buis edged out Veneman by a nose, completing an all-Freudenberg podium.

Veneman, who is not eligible for championship points as a guest rider, finished fourth. KTM rider Phillip Tonn came in fifth.

Dutch drivers Dylan Czarkowski (Racing DC) and Senna van den Hoven (Molenaar Racing) finished seventh and eighth, followed by Korbinian Brandl (RBR Racing), Emil Tägtlund (Tägtlund Motorsport), and Fabio Sarasino (Freudenberg KTM-Paligo Racing). Sarasino crashed his bike on the third lap but was able to return to the race.
