Inigo Iglesias (Füsport – RT Motorsports by SKM – Kawasaki) will start the races from second place. This will be the Spaniard’s first time on the natural-terrain track in Schleiz, but he has consistently been among the best in all practice sessions so far. He was still in the lead during the first qualifying session on Saturday morning, but he was unable to keep up with Lehmann’s pace in the afternoon.

Starting from third place, Walid Khan (Freudenberg KTM-Paligo Racing) is in for a tough battle. The Dutch rider said he could have achieved more, but he was held up several times by other riders, which prevented him from completing his laps. His teammate Philipp Tonn will start from fourth place on the second row of the grid. For the Mattstedt native, this is his best starting position of the season so far.

They will be joined by Mate Szamado (Kawasaki Hungary Racing Team) and reigning IDM champion Marvin Siebdrath (Yamaha bLU cRU IDM by Kiefer Racing).

Dustin Schneider (Freudenberg KTM-Paligo Racing) and Ferre Fleerackers (B.art Racing) are on the third row of the starting grid. Both had crashed separately during Q1 but emerged unscathed. Schneider will start the race from seventh position, while Fleerackers was originally set to start from eighth. However, since the Belgian had not affixed his tire stickers in accordance with the regulations, race officials moved him back three positions for the first race. He will start from eleventh position this afternoon and from eighth in the second race on Sunday.

The first race will take place in the late afternoon at 4:50 p.m., and the second on Sunday at 2:10 p.m. IDM will broadcast all races at www.idm.de/live.
