Dutch racer Walid Khan is returning to the World Championship on a wild card. He will compete in Supersport World Supersport in Most at the end of July, supported by his team, Freudenberg KTM-Paligo Racing. Although he is no stranger to the World Championship, having already completed a full season for the Nutec Benja Kawasaki team in 2018, this wild card once again offers him the opportunity to make a name for himself among the world’s elite.

“The news came as a big surprise to me. I’m very happy to have been given this second chance in the World Championship, thanks to the support of the team, the sponsors, and everyone around me,” Walid Khan explained when asked by IDM. The young Dutchman, who moved to Spain earlier this year, wants to make the most of the weekend. “I want to have a lot of fun in Most and prove to my team that it was worth believing in me,” Khan said.

The 23-year-old has been a member of Team Freudenberg KTM-Paligo Racing since 2020 and is currently competing for the title in the IDM Supersport class. Just two weeks ago, the IDM series made a stop in Most, Czech Republic, where Khan finished fourth in both races. He currently sits in second place in the overall standings.
