Walid Khan was unstoppable at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben this IDM weekend. With another victory in Supersport 300, he secured maximum points and took the lead in the overall standings. Teammate Dustin Schneider finished second, just ahead of Inigo Iglesias.

For Walid Khan (Freudenberg KTM-PALIGO Racing), the weekend couldn't have ended better. After securing his first pole position and winning the first race on Saturday, everything went according to plan for the Dutchman in the second race too. After the start, he initially lost his lead to his teammate Dustin Schneider (Freudenberg KTM-PALIGO Racing), but Khan managed to counterattack on the first lap. From then on, he led the race for a long time ahead of his rivals Inigo Iglesias (Füsport – RT Motorsports by SKM – Kawasak), Dustin Schneider, Ferre Fleerackers (B.art Racing Team), and Marvin Siebdrath (Yamaha bLU cRU IDM by Kiefer Racing). While Fleerackers and Siebdrath lost touch with the leaders in the final third of the race due to their battles, Khan, Schneider, and Iglesias fought it out among themselves. On the penultimate lap, Khan took advantage of the all-important gap that catapulted him back to the front after several duels. The KTM rider sped away and secured his first double victory. "My strategy worked out perfectly in the end, which is why I was able to break away from the other two," said the winner, whose jubilation was so great that even the airbag in his suit was triggered. Walid Khan leaves Oschersleben with a total of 120 points in the bag as the new leader in the standings.

The battle for second place was decided in a photo finish between Dustin Schneider and Inigo Iglesias. The Kawasaki rider made one last attempt to pass Schneider in the final corner. However, his opponent came out of the corner better, and Schneider ultimately crossed the finish line eight thousandths of a second ahead of the Spaniard.

It was also a successful weekend for Ferre Fleerackers. The Belgian once again claimed fourth place in the second race, securing his best results to date. Reigning champion Marvin Siebdrath finished fifth, as he did in the first race.

Things didn't go so smoothly for Mate Szamado (Kawasaki Hungary Racing Team). The Hungarian struggled with health problems, which meant he missed the first race. He finished his only race on Sunday in ninth place.
