The IDM Sidecar series is thriving and growing. When the World Championship and IDM sidecar teams compete in the same field in 2023, all participants without exception will receive World Championship points based on their race finish. In addition, however, there will continue to be a separate IDM classification for some races. Only teams that have not yet achieved dominant success in the World Championship in recent years are eligible for points here. Primarily teams competing at the national level will be considered. The IDM Commission has confirmed the following starters for the IDM Sidecar.
