As has become tradition, Motor Presse Stuttgart—the promoter and organizer of the International German Motorcycle Championship (IDM)—announces the tentative event dates for next year at the finale of the 2022 season.
The calendar features seven rounds. To kick off the season, Germany’s premier motorcycle racing series returns to the national motorcycle mecca at the famous Sachsenring. This means that at least two circuits where the MotoGP World Championship is also held are confirmed for 2023. The second circuit is the TT Circuit in Assen, Netherlands. As always, the season’s highlight will take place at the end of July at the Schleizer Dreieck. The track will celebrate 100 years of racing history next year. In addition to four races in Germany, the planned calendar for the 2023 season currently includes three races abroad: the Superbike circuit in Most, Assen, and the MotoGP circuit at the Red Bull Ring.
“We want our participants to have planning certainty and to be able to prepare for next year. That’s why we’re releasing the preliminary calendar as early as possible,” said IDM series manager Normann Broy.
