Toni Erhard sieht man von nun an in den Farben rot-schwarz. Der IDM-Meister der Supersport 300 von 2017 hat ein neues Team gefunden und tritt für den Rest der Saison für den ADAC Sachsen e.V. an.
In early July, Erhard and Roto-Store BRT Vitori parted ways due to various tensions. The season had only really begun for Erhard in June at Most. He missed the races at the Lausitzring and in Oschersleben due to injury. The Kawasaki Ninja 400 rider had broken his ankle during test rides in April. In Most, the Schwarzenberg native made his first start of the year. The student looks back on his race weekend in Most with mixed feelings. “My foot injury affected me more in Most than I expected. I was able to improve from lap to lap, but I still lack confidence,” says Erhard in Schleiz. He took home four championship points.
The 22-year-old is keeping his options open as to whether and how he will continue racing next year. “I’ll be finishing my degree next year. We’ll see if I can find a job that allows me to keep racing,” says the aspiring media computer scientist, explaining his situation for next year.
