IDM: Schedule and Tips for Race Sunday

Things are really heating up at the Lausitzring today. Will the fastest drivers in practice also be the winners in the races? Text: Anke Wieczorek; Photo: Dino Eisele

Today is race day. Now it’s time to get down to business. The IDM Superbike will take to the track twice, as will the IDM Supersport. In the junior class, IDM Supersport 300, and the sidecars, the first races already took place yesterday. Today, Sunday, May 8, 2022, only one race will be held in each of these categories. This also applies to the two IDM support classes, the Pro Superstock Cup and the Twin Cup.

Tip for fans at the Lausitzring: The popular Pit Walk takes place between 1:00 and 1:30 p.m. That means the pit lane is open to all race attendees, and the riders will be signing autographs. It’s a hands-on IDM experience. Nowhere else can you get this close to the riders. If you can’t watch the races in person, you can still be there “live.” The free livestream makes it possible. You can see all the times here in our overview.
