Here’s how it all started: Chris Beinlich and Sebastian Krenz have known each other for a long time and are friends. Oppurg is just a stone’s throw away from Pößneck, where the Beinlichs live.

When Krenz appeared on screen as a contestant on “The Voice of Germany,” the excitement in Pößneck knew almost no bounds. During the blind auditions, the 30-year-old wowed all four coaches with the Scorpions song “Still Loving You,” and they all turned their chairs around for him. “We didn’t miss a single episode and threw a big party at home for the finale—we set up a big TV and had a barbecue. The next day, everyone was hoarse from all the screaming,” the Beinlichs recount.

Andreas Krenz has been supporting the racing team for years. The fact that Sebastian is now also stepping up as a generous sponsor and letting the team share in his success means a lot to the Beinlichs. And by the way: Sebastian Krenz is a die-hard motorcyclist.
