Marc Moser was most recently the team’s regular Superbike rider for the Bonovo Action by MGM Racing Team. After the 2021 season ended, the team’s departure from the IDM was confirmed. Despite his victory in the season opener, Marc Moser’s time with the team also came to an end. The Yamaha rider was unable to reach an agreement with a new team. He is moving to the FIM Endurance World Championship—though he will still make an appearance in the IDM Superbike series.

“Of course I’ll miss the IDM,” the 28-year-old from Dieburg, Hesse, admits quite honestly. “I was open to offers from all sides. In the end, I signed on with the ERC team for the World Endurance Championship.” Moser will be the Ducati teammate of Xavi Fores, David Checa, and Lorenzo Zanetti. However, Moser also plans at least one guest start in the IDM on the Panigale V4R. “That’s definitely on my agenda for the second half of the season. Maybe there’s even room for a second one, but I still need to figure out how that can be arranged with the team.”

Moser, who finished ninth overall last year and had also been in talks with Kiefer Racing about a BMW seat in the IDM’s premier class, never wanted to try to do two things at once. “I can’t compete in two championships. I’m focusing on the World Endurance Championship, but I will be making an appearance in the IDM.”
