“It’s about time we got started. Actually, I’d love to get going right now,” says Paul Fröde. The 2020 IDM Superstock champion and 2021 runner-up has now entered the IDM Superbike class. With his promotion, a second Honda rider is joining the premier class.
The 19-year-old from Hohenstein-Ernstthal will not be participating in the IDM spring test in Valencia in a week and a half. The Fireblades supplied by Honda Germany are still in the preparation phase—from configuring the electronics to applying the sponsor decals and coming up with a suitable team name. “We’re ready to go, but we still need to get the project up and running.”
Over the past three years, Paul Fröde has been the only Honda rider in the IDM Superstock 600 class and has consistently finished in the top three in the overall standings.
