The first qualifying session in the IDM Sidecar class at the Hockenheimring was dominated by the world champion. Tim Reeves and his passenger Kevin Rousseau (Bonovo Action Team/Adolf RS F1, 600 cc) comfortably outpaced their rivals with a best lap time of 1:32.990. Trailing by over half a second (+0.597 sec), Markus Schlosser and Marcel Fries (Team Schlosser/LCR F1, 600 cc) managed to place behind eight-time world champion Reeves. As leaders in the World Championship, the two Swiss riders are fully focused on the title: “Before heading into the final three World Championship races, we want to use Hockenheim to ensure we’re optimally prepared,” said Schlosser afterward.

Josef Sattler and Luca Schmidt (Bonovo Action Team/Adolf RS F1, 600 cc) finished in third place. The two Germans currently lead the IDM overall standings and aim to further extend their points lead this weekend. Bennie Streuer and Jeroen Remmé (Bonovo Action Team/Adolf RS F1, 600 cc) and the two guest teams, Lukas Wyssen and Thomas Hofer (LCR-Yamaha, 600 cc) as well as Mike Roscher and Anna Burkard (LCR-BMW F1, 1000 cc), rounded out the top six.

Behind them were Peter Kimeswenger and Kevin Kölsch (LCR F1, 600 cc), followed by Markus Schwegler and Ondrej Kopecky (LCR F1, 600 cc) as well as Max Zimmermann and Ferry Segers (LCR F1, 600 cc). Franz Kapeller and Markus Billich (LCR F1, 600 cc) rounded out the top 10.

The second qualifying session will take place tomorrow at 12:00 p.m. The first race will be broadcast live at 5:45 p.m. on www.idm.de.
