With Victor Steeman, the Freudenberg KTM WorldSSP Team has a solid contender in the Supersport 300 World Championship. The Dutch rider secured the Saxony-based team’s first victory of the season at Most and currently sits fifth in the overall standings. When the next round takes place this coming weekend, September 17–19, 2021, at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, his KTM teammate Lennox Lehmann will also be on the starting grid.
The 15-year-old from Dresden has been awarded a wild card. He is the defending champion in the IDM Supersport 300 class and is leading the junior series again this year. For Lehmann, who is set to make the leap to the World Championship after two successful years in the IDM with the Freudenberg team, this opportunity is a chance to test himself against the world’s best right now.

Team manager Carsten Freudenberg is grateful that Pirelli Germany will cover the entry fee for the Spanish round and explains: “Lennox received support from Pirelli thanks to winning the IDM title last year. Following that, we had already sent two wildcard applications to Dorna back in the spring. We wanted to race in Most, but due to the many national applications from Czech riders, there was no space available. Everything has now fallen into place for Barcelona. Working with Victor will certainly help Lennox. Victor will also benefit from this, as we’ll be able to collect more data and information from the weekend.”
The team’s motivation is immense, and for Lehmann, a dream is coming true. He says: “It’s awesome that I got the wildcard. Since it could get very hot in Spain, I’ve ramped up my fitness level even further. So, let’s get this started.”
