The team plans to continue with three riders. The Füsport-RT Motorsports by SKM-Kawasaki team is once again planning to field three riders in the Supersport of the International German Motorcycle Championship in 2022. Team manager Frank Krekeler confirmed this when asked. However, it has not yet been definitively decided whether the riders for next season will once again be Marvin Siebdrath, Luca De Vleeschauwer, and Jorke Erwig.
“It’s definitely in our best interest to continue supporting young talent next year and to compete in the IDM with three young riders,” confirms Frank Krekeler. The team manager, who leads the team in the IDM alongside Rob Venegoor, isn’t just thinking about the team’s own interests. “We can definitely see ourselves continuing to work with Marvin, Luca, and Jorke, but whether that works out also depends on the riders’ plans,” Krekeler continues. Concrete discussions about further collaboration are underway.
Siebdrath and De Vleeschauwer are currently ranked second and fourth, respectively, in the overall standings. They are among the favorites to win the title. It’s no secret that Siebdrath has his sights set on the World Championships. “We know Marvin has the potential for the World Championships, and we’re currently working on finding ways to make it happen for him,” said Krekeler.
Currently, Harry Khouri, Tom Booth-Amos, and Doreen Loureiro are competing in the World Championship under the Füsport-RT Motorsports by SKM-Kawasaki banner. For next year’s season, the team plans to field three World Championship riders once again. It remains to be seen exactly who those riders will be.
