A familiar face from Oschersleben on the front row of the grid is Marvin Siebdrath (Füsport RT Motorsports by SKM-Kawasaki/17). The Wildenfels native finished just 0.106 seconds behind Erhard and will start from second position tomorrow. “The first free practice sessions on Friday were really tough for me. We made a few changes afterward, and things have been running like clockwork for me since the first qualifying session on Saturday,” Siebdrath reported from the Parc Fermé after Q2. His goal for the first race on Sunday will be to stay right up front for the entire distance. “But the last lap is always decisive; experience shows that a lot can still happen there. I’ll have to decide on the spot how to proceed,” said the Kawasaki rider.
Joining Erhard and Siebdrath on the front row is Luca de Vleeschauwer (Füsport RT Motorsports by SKM/18). The Belgian already proved at the season opener in Oscherleben that he’s one to watch. He’ll continue his quest for his first win of the season in Most.
Dirk Geiger (Freudenberg KTM WorldSSP Team /18), Micky Winkler (Kawasaki Weber-Motos Racing /19), and Geiger’s teammate Lennox Lehmann finished fourth through sixth in qualifying. Lehmann had crashed over the front wheel during the first qualifying session.
The first race starts tomorrow at 11:35 a.m. and can be watched at www.idm.de/live.
