With Suzuki's withdrawal from the industry pool, Denis Hertrampf's HPC-Power Suzuki team also had to bow out of the IDM Superbike 1000. However, the team from Emsbüren and its regular rider, Daniel Kartheininger, will continue to compete in the IDM's top class.
Hertrampf’s MotoCity, located right off the A31, carries Ducati, KTM, Harley-Davidson, and Triumph. Finding a new partner for the IDM Superbike 1000 shouldn’t be a problem. “Honda, Kawasaki, and Yamaha would also be options,” Hertrampf adds. However, Honda Germany has been partnered with the HRP team for years, and Kawasaki cooperates with the Weber Motos Racing Team from Switzerland. “We’ll get something off the ground,” Hertrampf assures. He is in agreement with Daniel Kartheininger—who finished 14th in the 2020 IDM—regarding the rider selection. Ultimately, it’s supposed to be a two-man team. Kevin Sieder is out. Hertrampf knows that the Austrian had been planning to enter the Spanish Superbike Championship after the IDM finale and says, “I haven’t made any plans with him since then.”
In the Pro Superstock Cup, which is held as part of the IDM, Hertrampf supports 17-year-old Max Schmidt from Wuppertal, who finished as runner-up in the Cup right off the bat in his first 1000 cm³ season.
