Good news for all IDM fans: Spectators will be allowed at the IDM finale in Hockenheim from September 25 to 27. A limited number of visitors per day will thus be able to watch the races in Germany’s top motorcycle road racing series right at the track.
Tickets are sold exclusively online in advance, and spectators are assigned specific seats in the grandstands. Parking is also allocated according to seat assignments. Masks must be worn in the grandstands until spectators take their seats. These measures are part of the racetrack’s strict health and safety protocol, which allows for a limited number of spectators to be admitted. All details, including information on ticket prices, are available online at: www.hockenheimring.de.
This means that fans of Jonas Folger will also have a chance to see their idol race his Yamaha live before the end of the year. If everything goes according to plan, the World Championship wildcard rider from Barcelona will be able to celebrate his IDM championship title at Hockenheim. The title races in all classes will be decided this coming weekend.
“We are very happy that we can now at least welcome spectators to the IDM finale,” says IDM Series Manager Normann Broy regarding the last-minute decision. “We would like to thank everyone who made this possible.” For those who are unable to get a ticket, the free livestream remains available. As with all IDM events this year, all championship races and selected support races will be broadcast live on idm.de/live.
