Progress is coming in small steps, but Kevin Sieder is staying the course. The Austrian will continue to race with Team HPC-Power Suzuki Racing in 2020. He finished the past season in 18th place overall in the IDM Superbike 1000. His best result: 10th place at Most in the Czech Republic. By re-signing him, team boss Denis Hertrampf is giving the 20-year-old from Wieselburg the chance to establish himself in the top ten. “2019 was Kevin’s first year with us. He is a very focused rider and in good physical condition. We lacked consistency on race weekends in 2019. We want to change that now.”
Kevin Sieder has further expanded his fitness program. The GSX-R 1000’s technology has also received upgrades. In addition to the WP suspension, Yoshimura’s electronics kit is being further developed. An initial upgrade is already available, but now the motorcycle is also getting an adjustable swingarm pivot.
The partnership with Sieder has created synergies. Since mid-2019, HPC-Power Suzuki has been affiliated with the
Austrian race training organizer WSB-Sport. Sieder’s father is involved, and the racer himself drives numerous laps as an instructor. Also always on hand: two mechanics from Hertrampf, who provide technical support to the participants.
