The third round of the season will also take place with the new EGS team without Jan Bühn. Nevertheless, regular rider Tim Eby will have a teammate by his side. Dominik Vincon is stepping in and will take the wheel of the BMW S 1000 RR at Zolder.
Bühn only had the stitches removed from his right hand on Tuesday. For the Kronau native, the event is coming a week too soon. It’s frustrating. Bühn won a race in the IDM Supersport 600 class in Belgium in 2015. The track suits him well. The fact that Dominik Vincon is stepping in for him is fine with the 28-year-old from Baden. And Vincon immediately felt right at home upon arrival. His younger brother Patrick is the data engineer on the EGS team.
In the first free practice session today, Vincon clocked the tenth-fastest time. Regardless of his results this weekend, he will not be included in the IDM standings. As a guest rider, he is not eligible for points.
