Yamaha Motor Germany has been deeply committed to promoting young talent for decades. That’s why Yamaha is organizing the Yamaha R3 bLU cRU Cup in 2019.
The Cup will be held as part of the IDM Supersport 300 class. The base model is the 2018 Yamaha R3 equipped with a racing kit.
The racing kit consists of:
- Akrapovic Complete Carbon Exhaust System
- Öhlins Shock Absorber
- Öhlins cartridge for the fork
- Öhlins Fork Springs
- GYTR fairing painted entirely in Yamaha colors
- Quick shifter/rev limiter required by the IDM regulations (FIM) (subject to possible changes in the regulations)
As part of its efforts to support young talent, Yamaha Motor Germany has decided to make an unbeatable offer to 10 Cup participants.
For just 5,695, participants receive a 2018 R3 including the Racing Kit. The retail value of the kit is 5,100 euros. The only additional costs are the entry fees and running costs. The motorcycle, including the kit, can be ordered and delivered through any authorized Yamaha dealer in Germany.
This makes the Yamaha R3 bLU cRU package the most affordable way to get involved in national motorsports.

Otherwise, the original concept behind the program remains the same: At the end of the season, the top finishers in the Yamaha R3 bLU cRU Cup will be invited by Yamaha Motor Europe to an international “bLU cRU Masterclass,” and the best riders at that event will be offered Yamaha factory contracts—from amateur to pro. From today’s bLU cRU champion to tomorrow’s Sandro Cortese—that, in a nutshell, is the basic idea.
