The 2019 IDM schedule, which was unveiled at this year’s Hockenheim finale, was not yet finalized. Motor Presse Stuttgart, as the series promoter, had explicitly noted at the time of the announcement that one or two dates might still be rescheduled. That is now what has happened. The IDM round in Schleiz will take place from July 26–28, 2019, and has thus been moved up by one week. The reason: the Czech Grand Prix will be held in Brno on the first weekend of August, which would have cost the IDM organizers a significant number of spectators. For this reason, the original date was already on shaky ground when it was announced at Hockenheim.
The IDM event in Most has also been rescheduled. It was moved from July 12–14 to August 9–11, 2019. The original date would have been exactly one week after the Sachsenring Grand Prix. That would likely have been too hectic for the fans. This way, there’s a short break to catch their breath.
