Max Enderlein had nothing left to prove in the final IDM Supersport 600 race. As the new champion, he was content with a fifth-place finish. Kevin Wahr won the race with a 0.589-second lead over Dutch rider Sander Kroeze, thus celebrating a satisfying end to the season. Daniel Rubin took third place on the podium. He is now the confirmed runner-up. After his crash in the first race, Marc Buchner had no chance of regaining the championship position he had held for so long.
Disappointment was written all over Christoph Beinlich’s face. The 22-year-old was in sixth place in the race when guest rider Patrick Hobelsberger slammed into his swingarm coming out of Sachs Curve with two laps to go. Beinlich crashed. He finished ninth in the overall standings at the end of the year. His father, Knut Beinlich—whose younger son, Troy, races in the IDM Supersport 300 class—says: “With both of our boys, we’ve made it to the top of the IDM. Both have earned podium finishes. That’s pretty good.” Gabriel Noderer, a true outlier in the Yamaha field with his Kawasaki ZX-6R, posted his best result of the season at Hockenheim with 19 points. He has thus secured a spot in the championship’s top ten.
In the Superstock 600 Cup standings , Stefan Ströhlein edged out 18-year-old Moritz Jenkner for second place behind Marco Fetz in the final standings during the Hockenheim finale.
