In 2017, Janusch Prokop was among the potential podium contenders in the IDM Supersport class. He also finished fourth twice before he had to pull out due to injury. Upon his return, he switched classes and bikes. Instead of riding a Kawasaki in the 600cc class, he began riding a Suzuki for Team Alber-Bischoff. Prokop didn’t set the world on fire with the GSX-R 1000, but his lap times impressed team boss Evrén Bischoff, who believes Prokop still needs another year to develop.
But then he could be among the podium contenders—provided everything goes as planned and he doesn't get injured.
