Dirk Geiger won his first Supersport in Most following his move to Yamaha. At the same time, he took the lead in the standings for the mid-level EURO MOTO class. Luca Göttlicher’s podium finish on the MV Agusta was just as spectacular, even though the field had spread out considerably by the end of the race.
After four wins by Daniel Blin (Automarket AF Racing), it was Dirk Geiger’s (Team Apreco) turn. Starting from pole position at the Czech Autodrom, he secured his first victory on the Apreco-Yamaha. It wasn’t just any victory—it was also the first for the new YZF-R9 model in the EURO MOTO series. Geiger led the 14-lap race with ease. In the end, he finished 5.81 seconds ahead of the chasing pack and basked in the glory. The fact that his teammate Lennox Lehmann crossed the finish line in second place sparked double the joy throughout the entire crew: “Even though I messed up the start with a few mistakes,” the Dresden native remarked. And he added: “It couldn’t have gone any better, because our teammate Twan Smits will also be starting from the front row in the Superbike class tomorrow.” Yamaha had every reason to celebrate.

Luca Göttlicher (LJ Racing) set a milestone in MV Agusta’s history. In the sweltering heat, he secured the Italian brand’s first podium finish in the EURO MOTO series—and previously in the IDM. Till Belczykowski had been the team’s rider for the past three years. Göttlicher was injured over the winter and didn’t make his debut until the second EURO MOTO event. But it seems “Lucky Luc” has already found his groove. As he says, the bike suits him well; it was just the heat in Most that got the better of him. Even as lap times slowed down during the race, Göttlicher stubbornly stayed on course for the podium.

Luca de Vleeschauwer (SWPN) moved up two spots on his Yamaha. Filip Feigl (Eder Racing) was the top performer among the four Czech riders who started on that brand. Marvin Siebdrath was the top Honda rider for MCA Racing. The Saxon finished seventh after falling back to 12th place on the first lap.
Marcel Brenner dropped back from the front row of the grid. By the middle of the race, he had fallen 2.2 seconds behind the leader. The Swiss Ducati rider managed to salvage seventh place. For his teammate Daniel Blin, the first Supersport ended dramatically: He finished in 16th place, 54.512 seconds behind winner Geiger. The result set him back even further following his crash in qualifying. At the same time, the 24-year-old Pole lost the lead in the Supersport. An investigation into the causes is underway. Guest rider Jonas Folger (Freudenberg KTM RORA PALIGO) pulled into the pits during the race for setup adjustments.
