Just a few days to go until EURO MOTO makes its stop in Most, Czech Republic. From June 26 to 28, riders will battle for every thousandth of a second and every championship point on the challenging track at the foot of Hněvín Castle. The third round of the new top European racing series is scheduled to take place on a 4.222-kilometer track featuring twelve right-hand and nine left-hand turns. The atmosphere in the Superbike class is particularly heated. That’s why one thing is already certain: The third round of the season will also be a fierce battle for supremacy at the highest level.

In the top class, Superbikes, defending champion Lukas Tulovic (Ducati) initially seemed well on his way to pulling away from the competition early on after his spectacular one-two finish at the season opener. But his initial points lead has shrunk to a five-point margin over Marcel Schrötter (BMW) heading into the final round in Brno.
The former Supersport made his debut in the top class this year. Schrötter achieved his stated goal of “beating the red machine” four weeks ago, securing his first victory in Brno. While Tulovic struggled in the Czech Republic due to technical issues, Markus Reiterberger (BMW) and Florian Alt (Honda) were also able to build on their momentum in Brno. Will they continue this trend in Most—or will Ducati strike back? The Panigale V4R is now back in top form.

“The track is hectic and tight,” says Schrötter, describing the unique challenge of Most. “On a Superbike, you have to constantly switch between slow and fast sections. But we’re going to keep improving our setup. There’s still room for improvement. We’re only heading into the third round, and I know what I’m capable of.”

Schrötter is also well aware that Ducati riders are currently dominating many championships around the world, but that doesn’t stop the 33-year-old Bavarian from going on the offensive. “Lukas Tulovic will have to get used to that. And to the fact that we can beat him in the future.” Schrötter adds with a laugh: “But it’s not easy for him either when everyone’s out to get him.” Among the challengers are definitely Twan Smits (Yamaha) and Hannes Soomer (BMW).
