The first news of the new year comes from Team Freudenberg-Rora Paligo Racing. The Saxony-based team will once again field Luis Rammerstorfer in 2026. The young Austrian showed what he’s capable of last year: three podium finishes, including a victory at the Nürburgring, speak for themselves.
The fact that he ultimately finished “only” seventh in the overall standings was mainly due to a break caused by a broken collarbone. Rammerstorfer had to sit out four races in Schleiz and Most. Nevertheless, the 18-year-old draws a positive conclusion: “The trend toward the end of the season was clearly upward.” That’s exactly where he wants to pick up in his second season in the Sportbike class.
2026 marks a new chapter not only for the season but also for the series. Together with his crew, Rammerstorfer will be competing in the newly formed EURO MOTO for the first time. The anticipation is understandably high. “I’m really looking forward to the second season with the team and the bike,” says the Austrian. During the winter break, he focused primarily on improving himself—both physically and mentally. “Our goal is to become even more consistent. We’re fast—we proved that last year.”
Racing has long been a family affair for the Rammerstorfers. His brother Leo also competed in the IDM for several years before moving to the Red Bull Rookies Cup in 2023. Their father, Roman Rammerstorfer, has been a close partner of Team Freudenberg for over ten years and will remain on board as the title sponsor through 2026 with his company, RORA.
From rookie to veteran
Within the team, Luis Rammerstorfer is now stepping into a new role. With Mika Siebdrath joining as a young teammate, he automatically loses his rookie status. The 16-year-old already brings a wealth of experience from the Spanish championship, even though tracks like the Nürburgring, Hockenheimring, and Assen are still unfamiliar to him. This is exactly where Rammerstorfer can pass on his experience.
Off the track, the duo gets along perfectly anyway. The Rammerstorfer and Siebdrath families have known each other for many years and are close friends. “Luis and his family are just incredibly warm and welcoming,” says Mika Siebdrath. “I’m really looking forward to racing alongside him on the same team in EuroMoto.”
The team is committed to continuity
Team manager Carsten Freudenberg is also a big believer in strong teamwork. The team has been known for decades for its consistent commitment to developing young talent. By the end of 2024, it was already clear to Freudenberg that the partnership with Luis Rammerstorfer was intended to be a long-term one. “Continuity is extremely important for young riders,” emphasizes the team manager. Rammerstorfer has already shown in 2025 “that he can win races.” With the move toward the European Championship and stronger competition, he will be able to continue developing well—and that is precisely the goal.
With Luis Rammerstorfer and Mika Siebdrath, two riders have now been confirmed for Freudenberg-Paligo Racing’s first EURO MOTO season. It is not yet known whether another rider will join the team. However, the team has competed with three riders in the past.
