Marvin Siebdrath is a force to be reckoned with in the International German Motorcycle Championship (IDM). His brother Mika now wants to follow in his footsteps. He will join the IDM Sportbike class in 2026 with Team Freudenberg PALIGO Racing.
Mika Siebdrath’s profile: born on March 27, 2009, in Zwickau; 5’5” tall; weighs 121 pounds; a passionate schnitzel lover; a fan of Marc Márquez; a dog and mosquito lover. Dream: “My biggest dream is to become a World Championship rider in MotoGP or Superbike.”
The 16-year-old from Saxony is the first rider confirmed for the Freudenberg team for the upcoming season—on a Triumph Daytona 660. Following successful years in the Supersport , the team has repositioned itself with a focus on developing young talent. The sportbike project, which has already proven successful in 2025, is being consistently expanded.
“I’m absolutely thrilled and excited to be able to introduce Mika, a young up-and-coming rider from Saxony. Mika comes from a true racing family—that fits perfectly into our plans for 2026. With him, we’ve laid the first important foundation for our involvement in the IDM. Mika brings valuable experience from his time in Spain, where he raced for a long time,” says Team Manager Carsten Freudenberg, highlighting the newcomer’s expertise and also addressing the next hot topic on the agenda. “We are currently working intensively on the second rider pairing so that Mika receives strong support from within our own ranks. Among others, I am in talks with the Rammerstorfer family, with whom we already had a very successful start in the new IDM class in 2025.”
After four years in Spanish junior series, German is once again the predominant language in Mika’s circle, and he shares the same schedule as his 22-year-old brother Marvin, who will Supersport for Team MCA Racing on a Honda in the IDM Supersport in 2026. He has secured his first championship title since 2022. After several lead changes between him and Austrian Leo Rammerstorfer, he went into the big Hockenheim finale seven points behind and returned home as the IDM Supersport champion with a four-point lead.
