At Hockenheim, every possible resource will be brought to bear as the season draws to a close. Freudenberg RORA-PALIGO Racing is bolstering its IDM Sportbike team for the final weekend and bringing in Leo Rammerstorfer as a guest rider. He is the older brother of Luis Rammerstorfer, who recently pulled off a surprise victory at the Nürburgring.
The 21-year-old Austrian is no stranger to the Freudenberg team. Three years ago, he raced for the Saxony-based team in the IDM Supersport series and won two races that season. He now competes in the highly competitive FIM JuniorGP World Championship. He currently sits in 13th place in the overall standings, with two rounds remaining on the calendar.
Team manager Carsten Freudenberg is thrilled that curly-haired Leo will be donning his helmet this weekend in the IDM: “Welcoming Leo to our pit as a guest rider isn’t just a great comeback for him—it’s also an extra source of motivation for his brother Luis.”
