Sad news from the Freudenberg Rora-Paligo Racing team: Up-and-coming talent Luis Rammerstorfer will have to sit out the upcoming IDM weekend in Schleiz due to injury. The 17-year-old Austrian crashed last weekend at the German TT in Schleiz and suffered a broken collarbone.

This means the IDM rookie, who finished a strong third and made it straight onto the podium at the season opener in Oschersleben, is out of the running for now. Rammerstorfer had already suffered a stroke of bad luck in the second race at Oschersleben, when a broken chain abruptly knocked him out of the race while he was in a promising position. Now he’s faced another setback—of all times, during preparations for the upcoming IDM races in Schleiz. It remains to be seen whether he’ll be fit again by the next IDM race weekend in Most (June 20–22).
