Expectations Supersport high for the IDM Supersport series, but after just one race, all that is now a thing of the past. As of today, Triumph Team Germany Racing and 23-year-old Spaniard Iñigo Iglesias are going their separate ways.
After finishing ninth in the overall standings, amid a great deal of stress and disagreements, the team, the 2023 Supersport , and some members of his entourage parted ways following a long discussion. Team manager Rob Vennegoor and two mechanics have also left.
Team manager Denis Hertrampf will put the IDM Supersport on hold for the time being. The team is now fully focused on its efforts in the new sportbike class, where team rider Oliver Svendsen secured a one-two finish on the Triumph Daytona 660 at the season opener in Oschersleben.
