At the Hockenheim finale of the International German Motorcycle Championship (IDM), the Triumph Germany Racing Team had a newly built motorcycle for the new Sportbike class on display in the paddock. The battle for points will begin in 2025—one year before the World Championship is set to launch. The Triumph team is using this head start to develop talent for higher-level competition in the long term. The first rider is Oliver Svendsen from Denmark.
Svendsen’s ride for the coming year will now be a Triumph Daytona 660. “We met with Triumph in the business area at EICMA and finalized everything! The atmosphere was great. Oliver and his father Carsten could immediately feel the spirit of the Triumph Racing family,” says his new team manager, Denis Hertrampf, describing the meeting where everything was settled. Oliver Svendsen also shares his thoughts on the meeting in Italy: “The direction and the collaboration between Hertrampf and Triumph feel great. They’re planning for the long term, and I really like the infrastructure. At the team presentation on January 10, 2025, at the Supercross in Dortmund, I’ll get to meet everyone who’s part of it.”
