Four riders from four countries. Freudenberg KTM-PALIGO Racing has announced its full lineup for the 2024 International German Motorcycle Championship (IDM). Phillip Tonn from Germany and Oliver Svendsen from Denmark had already been confirmed for the Supersport 300 class some time ago. New additions to the team are Ruben Bijman from the Netherlands and Fabio Sarasino from Switzerland.

Now in its 25th season, the racing team based in Bischofswerda, Saxony, continues to actively develop young talent on an international level. Team manager Carsten Freudenberg has also taken on the challenge of working with four riders from four different countries, with the IDM title as the primary goal. Added to this is the ongoing technical development of the KTM package.

“1999 was our first IDM season, and now we’re already heading into our 25th year,” says Freudenberg, looking back on a long and successful history. “We’ve formed many friendships, and we’re proud to be part of the IDM family. Of course, we support the IDM and want to send a positive message with four riders in the Supersport 300 class. With the signing of Ruben and Fabio, our team is complete. I’m very pleased that we have both riders on board. Fabio is aiming for the next step in the IDM, and we’ll support him with all our might. Ruben, who also competes for us in the World Championship, has the potential to be a major contender in the fight for the championship title. Together with Phillip and Oliver, we’re perfectly positioned for the new IDM season.”

Fabio Sarasino, who is moving from Kawasaki to the KTM RC 390 R, is thrilled to be racing for the team in just a few weeks. Last year, the 20-year-old scored five championship points. Now his goals are higher. “I want to consistently finish in the top 10. We’ll be testing again at the end of April to get me fully prepared for the season.”

Ruben Bijman, who is the same age, has his sights set on the title. “For me, it’s a great opportunity to further develop my skills alongside the World Championship.” The Dutch rider competed in ten of 14 IDM races on a Yamaha in 2023, scored points in every race, and finished eighth overall. He aims to keep moving forward with the Freudenberg team. “It has repeatedly proven its potential in both the IDM and the World Championship in recent years.”
